Romance of The Three Kingdoms is a Chinese historical novel based on the events in the turbulent years near the end of the Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms era of China, starting in 169 and ending with the reunification of the land in 2801. It was written by Luo Guanzhong in the 14th century, which is one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese Literature. Four Great Classical Novels are Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Chinese: 三国演义), Water Margin (Chinese: 水浒传), Journey to the West (Chinese: 西游记) and Dream of the Red Chamber (Chinese:红楼梦).
